WiseTribe is very excited to announce our first official collaboration within the community of Delray Beach.
In connecting the generations towards creating a wiser world, we have teamed Ms Atchinson’s 3rd grade class at S.D. Spady Elementary School to launch a meatless Monday movement within the community. The goal is for Delray Beach to be 100% meatless on Mondays to help slow down the impact of climate change and increase environmental consciousness in the community.
Most people do not know but, in addition to the stress of digestion meat puts on our bodies, animal agriculture is the second leading cause of climate change. The gas animals pass impacts the ozone layer AND heavy water usage is required in tending to livestock. This creates a significant drain on the planet.
The Delray Beach Children’s Garden is going to host weekly Meatless Monday potlucks starting next Monday, January 23rd from 6 to 8pm to bring the community together and support our youth in leading this worthy cause. We hope you’ll join us!
