Seeds of Change – Nanette’s Story

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote an essay on History where he explored the idea “that there is one mind common to all individual men and therefore the whole of history exists in one man, all of history lies folded into a single individual experience.” His famous quote,  “The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.”,  sums up what it means to be a seed of change for me. All of our actions create responses that make history.

I have the power to make choices that are aligned with my values and vision, regardless of what chaos is happening around me. Who I associate with, how I spend my time, and where I spend or gift my money are all choices I get to make every day. I believe that my consistent, deliberate, conscious action creates change for me and my environment. The momentum that builds around that positive energy gets noticed by other people and the ripple expands.

I would love to see more evidence of a population with deep respect for our natural resources. We’d make our collective, holistic well-being a priority. We’d make powerful choices about our land, our food, and our environment. We’d stop creating so much waste, live simply and share more.

As a Creativity Coach, I thrive in a world full of questions that have no right or wrong answers. “How Can I?”, “What else is possible?”, “What if…?”, “Is that really true?” are all questions I love to share with others so they can stretch their imaginations beyond their current knowledge or reality.

WiseTribe is a place where collaborative, creative ideas are nurtured. Non-traditional solutions to complex problems are being explored through community projects every day. I love hanging out with other curious, passionate, smart people who embrace learning and aren’t afraid to try new things.
